Prayer for the Church in our nation, the United States

For Unity: John 17:21-23 – that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

For Purity: Ephesians 5:26-27 – that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

For Authority and Power: Ephesians 1:19-23 – and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

For Love: Philippians 1:9-11 – And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Prayer for Godly Leadership of our Nation/State/City:

Father, for those men and women who hold positions of authority who are opposed to Your purposes, I declare that their days in office would be few. Thank You, Father, that You are removing them and raising up and appointing humble and lowly men and women who are after Your own heart, and who will do ALL Your will and carry out YOUR program FULLY – men and women of YOUR OWN CHOOSING – to take the offices and positions of the ungodly.
